This is a completely overhauled version of our famous copy from Jan 23, 2020 article.
Why famous? Dunno, just wanted to sound pretentious.

Some cheesy intro

When he landed on the moon, Neil Armstrong said, “That’s one small step for a man… one giant leap for mankind.” We’re sure that you’ll go to the Moon with your game as well! So, let's dive into the preparation stage.
Smash that thumbs-up button, click that bell, leave comment, call your wife, take that extended car warranty deal.

Everything starts from a contact 🛸

And there are a few ways to contact us.
The most environmentally friendly is speaking to our AI robot “42”.
He will submissively wait for you at the end of this post.

If you’re more like a tough individual — you can exclusively send us an email at cellardoor@outstandly.com.

And if you're that kind of person — we can even have a call. But let's briefly speak over email first. Because, you know, millennials.

🚀
Most inquiries are answered within 24 hours.

During our conversation, the goal is to understand your project, what you want to accomplish and what our role could be in this. Once done and we feel that we can help — we'll send you a proposal.

The whole learning phase as well as a proposal is with no strings attached.
You can walk away at any point during this stage, as long as you say ''Goodbye''.

If you like our proposal and want to move forward — you can leave your digital sign right there.

OK. We discussed, and learned about your project. The proposal was sent. You wholeheartedly loved it and ecstatically signed the deal. Next — monies 💰️

But not all at once, you, filthy magnate!
We ask for a 50% upfront payment and another 50% only once the project is completed and every asset of it is approved.

We also offer milestone payments for bigger projects.
e.g., a $50K budget project can be divided into five $10k milestones. Each milestone will consist of two payments: so for the first milestone, you will pay $5K to start and another $5K at the end; for all following milestones, the process will repeat.

Flawless collaboration process

At least — several people will be working on your project.
At most — what is the antonym for several? That amount of people.
Your project will benefit from the input of our art producers, project managers, artists-generalists and...
Weirdly, narrowly specialized artists-psychopaths who are best in super narrow, specific art fields.
Be it a distinctive pixel-art style, UI design or 3D rigging. If we don't have someone 100% suited for the job on our in-house team, we maintain a wide network of top-notch freelancers with whom we're working for years.
Whatever skill your game requires — our dedication and promise is to get you the best stuff and staff.

We constantly update you on our progress over our internal project management system. It’s great because you can just pinpoint any area and comment with your feedback/request/t̶h̶r̶e̶a̶t̶.

🤡
Fun fact: you’ll have a secret link to our website where your project will live. You'll have features to comment on the updates, approve/disapprove deliveries, view previous versions of it, etc. You can also send invites to your teammates or family members so they can give their feedback. Now, everyone will finally know that you got a real job and not just playing games! Told you, Mom!

As for the main communication channel, we’re everywhere you are. Most of our clients prefer email and Slack, and so do we.
But, if your workflow is better with Discord, Skype, Whatsapp, Telegram, Myspace, or Tiktok, we have no problem being and communicating where you are.

Generally s̶p̶e̶a̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ writing, we're pretty flexible on the processes, payment terms and other stuff. And we even don't do yoga!
So if you want something differently — let us know, and we'll see what we can do.

Frequently asked questions

What are your prices? You guys must be expensive.

H̶i̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶L̶o̶u̶i̶s̶ ̶V̶u̶i̶t̶t̶o̶n̶ ̶A̶l̶c̶a̶n̶t̶a̶r̶a̶ ̶P̶i̶n̶k̶ ̶S̶t̶a̶r̶ ̶d̶i̶a̶m̶o̶n̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶c̶r̶u̶s̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶a̶g̶ ̶u̶n̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶a̶b̶l̶e̶

Short Answer: Heck no!

Detailed answer: It all depends.

We do not offer one standard price due to the nature of game dev projects. Every game is unique with many variables: tech requirements, dimensions (2D, 2.5D, 3D, AR, VR), time constraints, the scope of the project, etc.

That is why we use an individual approach when calculating the production budget destined to get great results.

As a rule of thumb, we usually choose not to take projects with investments lower than $3k. We have no problem with doing an initial test/intro milestone with a smaller budget though.

Get in touch and we'll figure something out.

How to make a payment?

Preferred: Wise (formerly Transferwise) or Bank USD transfer;

We also accept: Swift, PayPal, and all major bank debit/credit cards (we process them via Stripe)

We prefer the USD currency, but we also welcome other major world currencies.

What is the meaning of life?

I have a question which is not listed here

Sorry.

Would you fancy a quote for your project?

With no strings attached (what a weird phrase)
